Migration - when the colors spread from the clothes

This prevents the marks from becoming discolored and damaged.

Strong dyes are becoming more and more common in various textiles. This is a dye that can "bleed" color and attack the transfer marks. You may find that logos or marks discolor over time and become corrupted. In technical language, this is called migration or migration.

- White marks can, for example, turn pink or brown due to the color of the fabric. This is often a problem with softshell jackets, where there is a high addition of color, Roger Nundal explains at customer service.

HOW TO AVOID MIGRATION

Here you can see how the red color has "bled" over the white logo and made it pink.

We have developed transfer marks that can block the dyes and ensure that the marks do not become discolored. White marks remain white.

What we do is apply a color-blocking layer to the brands we produce. This layer prevents colors from spreading through and is called migration blocks.

TEST CENTER

At our test center, we will at all times test what the transfer marks can withstand in wash after wash, and under extreme heat. We are also happy to test your brands and see how the brands and textiles behave together over time.

- We have a separate test method for migration blocks, where we test what work it does to avoid the colors penetrating through the garment. We do this both on order from the customer, and with our own products, Nundal explains.

ASK US FOR ADVICE

With us, migration blocks on the transfer marks are an extra order. Therefore, it is good if you think about whether this is something you need, and let us know if the need is there. We are happy to help you decide whether this is necessary or not, depending on the type of fabric, colors in the logo and location on the garment.

As a leader in the global market for textile labeling, both internally and externally, we have a great deal of knowledge about trends and innovations from textile manufacturers.
