Going towards record season

- We made some adjustments this winter that seem to pay off.

In mid-March, the high season starts with us in NTP. Then there are orders for stamps and logos on the assembly line, and there are not a few we are talking about. In 2015, more than 10 million logos were produced on the premises in Gaupne.

- This year we have been better prepared. We are rigged for high production and shorter delivery times, says Roger Nesheim, sales manager for Southern and Western Norway.

So far, the preparations seem to be paying off. Despite great demand, we have kept the delivery time and increased turnover compared to the same time last year. And the peak season is almost over yet.

- It is very fun to be a salesman during the day. Both customers and employees are satisfied, says Nesheim.

MORE ENDINGS

For NTP, 2015 was an educational year. Large orders came early in the season and pushed capacity before the high season had started. Production was lagging behind and delivery time increased.

- We were taken to bed a bit and struggled to get forward again. But this gave us good lessons, says Nesheim.

During the autumn, investments were made in new machines and more employees in production to increase capacity. In addition, we have undergone a restructuring to have a more streamlined and flexible production. A shorter reporting line and a smaller distance between idea and implementation were planned.

- Many of those who work in production have increased their competence in the printing profession. This increases the quality and makes us more flexible. In addition, many employees have worked early and late to keep delivery times down, says Nesheim.

- INCREDIBLE FUN

The sales team has worked with customers to plan orders further ahead in time where it has been possible. Not only has it provided satisfied customers, the changes have also made us an attractive workplace.

- It is unbelievably fun to be in a company with such a development as we have had in recent years. When we advertise positions, we receive applications from all over the country. We attract people to little Gaupe because of our activity, says Terje Teigen satisfied, sales manager in Central and Northern Norway.

Teigen is happy NTP can help give the local community new inhabitants who in turn generate more jobs outside our premises as well. He refers to the daily use of the airport at Haukåsen, both for goods and people, and points out that it also helps to generate jobs in the county.

BOAST OF THE COLLEAGUES

Despite a somewhat longer delivery time in 2015, NTP ended up with a total turnover of 135 million. This year, the target is even higher, and so far there is record sales.

- A lot is thanks to those who work in production. They have done a phenomenal job. We could never deliver unless they do what they can. They stand on even if there is a high pressure and work around the clock if necessary, says Teigen.
